    Description

Here is a LH OR RH front turn marker light lamp for various models of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, and DeTomaso DEPENDING on which care you have! (see below)  There are two versions of this lamp assy for use on different models....a stud mounted version (now reproduced) and a screw thru body mounted version. (NOT reproduced)  This is the latter....you can see the screw holes in the chrome body where the stud mounted version body is smooth.  These were used in pairs where the two parts are unique inverse copies of each other.
This part is NOS (New Old Stock) with some dust and slight mars due to life on a shelf for 25 years or so ago before I rescued it and put it in a plastic bag and set it on my shelf for 25 more years! It may have come in an original box, but the top was gone....still have the remnants  of the damaged box but not worthy of storing a part like this in it! Too nice! No recognizable numbers....
Why LH OR RH?  Glad you asked......    This chrome body is cast with a large "D" for destro in Italian, or Right.....but the rubber gasket is cast with a large "S" in it for sinistra or Left.   ( It is vice-versa for the "other side" version of this assembly when used in pairs.)  I don't know what happened at Carello with this, but someone screwed up....as the gasket is not interchangable side to side!
Sometimes these were mounted under the bumper or body panel, and some times they were mounted on top!  Whether it actually changed sides or not, I can't say for the specific models that you have, I can only tell you what I know.....
For a 1969 or 1970  DeTomaso Mangusta, this is a LEFT HAND version as it mounts under the body.  A list that I compiled at a Concorso car show, not a complete list likely.... shows these were also used on Ferarri 1968 330 365 GTC models, Maserati 1970 Indy, 1967 68 69 70 Ghibli and 1972 Bora models.  Again, I could be wrong about some of these in terms of using the stud mount version or the screw thru version....but I think I got it right.....was a long time ago....!
As for Lambo's......bid accordingly if what you see fits your vehicle. No info
The amber lens, typically US market, on this unit is an "early" version of the lens, without a DOT insignia in the casting. "SAE R 61" is there as is "Made in Italy" and some more Carello numbers as well.   If you note on the amber lens there are NO DOT letters in the middle, or an arrow, perhaps to tell which way the unit was originally intended to mount......that's my guess. I know that the 69-70 cars that I have seen used the earlier style non-DOT, no arrow version.
If you do not want an amber lens, I have another assembly listed with an early clear lens in it. Very similar condition otherwise.
The chrome on the housing is near perfect but for a slight blem at the rear of the body to the right of center at about the 3 o'clock position as seen in the 6th picture.
The reflector has some tiny amount of pitting just starting on it as you can see in the picture.  I wasn't about to start trying to clean it off and risk tearing up the reflector.....just trying to be straight forward here.
No this isn't cheap, but nice parts for these cars don't grow on trees any longer...and the cars have exploded in value....so get the best for the best!
I also will be listing some front Carello rear tail/turn signal lamps with red lens, for the Mangusta, perhaps some Lambo's and Ferraris, various models. and one more NOS LH red tail lamp assy, out of the box, bi-color Euro tail lamp lens pair not marked Carello, Low beam JOD Carello headlamps. Inquire if you cannot find them.
    Thank-you for looking.
