1st Gen Montblanc Meisterstück 144R 4810 14K Nib - Vintage 1989 - Great Find!

Description

This is a 1st Generation 144R with a Montblanc push-in converter--notable for its plastic thread fitting. Later ones were metal and had a screw-in converter.
This falls into an interesting place date-wise. In 1989, MB began to put serial numbers on the pens. In that same year, they switched from printing "W GERMANY" on the clip to just "GERMANY." So this fits in between those 2 major changes.

Condition can be judged by the photos. The converter has dried ink residue within and the pen nib and feed show evidence of dried ink. I am not an expert on how to handle or remedy this so I have left it alone. Overall, the pen is beautiful with no noticeable faults, defects, or damage. After a thorough cleaning, this will be a real gem. Pen only--no box or collateral.
