    Description

For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Never Inked, Mint in the Box 2006 Patron of the Arts Series Montblanc Sir Henry Tate Fountain Pen Limited Edition 3835 of 4810. This pen comes with the original inner and out boxes and Montblanc documentation.
This Montblanc Limited Edition Patron of the Arts Edition is known as the Montblanc Sir Henry Tate Fountain Pen. The Patron of Art Edition “Sir Henry Tate”, strictly limited to 4810 fountain pens, is characterized by clear, tectonic shapes. The inspirational source is the neoclassical architecture of Tate Britain, the museum financed by Sir Henry Tate. The geometrical lines of the platinum-plated body and the decoration of the cap rings reflect characteristic elements in the style of the museum building. In elegant contrast, the cap and body feature red lacquer guilloche inlays and the cap head bears an ivory-colored Montblanc star. This Montblanc is a limited edition number, "3835 o 4810".
The cap and barrel are in perfect condition with no cracks, nicks, scratches, or repairs. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The trim is perfect with no scratches or wear - there is some patina from the years of laying in the box. The barrel retains the original "MEDIUM" foil sticker. The fountain pen measures 5 3/8" capped and 6 1/2" posted.
The Platinum-plated 18K/750 gold nib can be retracted with a twisting movement. It is finely engraved with two sugar canes, a tribute to the raw material that enabled Sir Henry Tate, as it says in his foundation statutes “to help British art achieve its rightful place and thus provide pleasure to millions of people in this and further generations”.  This nib is designated as MEDIUM and the point measures .88mm when using digital calipers.
This Montblanc comes in the original Montblanc wooden lacquered box, outer storage factory box, and Limited Edition Booklet.
This Montblanc Patron of the Arts Sir Henry Tate Fountain Pen is stunning and very elegant writing instrument that was crafted in Germany. This gorgeous Montblanc Fountain Pen has Never Inked, Mint Condition. A marvelous addition to your writing arsenal collection and sure to be a pleasure to write with.

    Please Read Carefully Before Bidding:
I strive to find unique and difficult to find pieces that I believe will capture the attention of collectors. I spend a great deal of time traveling, talking with people, sitting at auctions and waiting in line at estate sales to find these pieces. Some of the items are "farm fresh" and some I have had in my possession for years and time to let others enjoy. Please make sure this item is what you want before bidding. If you would like different pictures or have concerns about damage, on whether it is repainted or repaired ask before bidding. If I can find out, I will. These are antiques so expect them not to be "perfect".
    Items:
I do not clean most items for fear of harm. I, unfortunately, am not an expert on anything, if you need any further info or pictures, please contact me before bidding. I will do my best to help you.

The Global Shipping Program adds import charges, 3rd party fees, and shipping that are more than my quoted shipping price for USA / Domestic shipments.
