What is Zeolite
Zeolite Horse Stall Freshener is a volcanic rock called “zeolite”. Zeolite is one of the highest grade zeolites in the world. It is mined in southern Idaho from a huge deposit at the  Mine. It has the ability to hold up to 55% of its weight in water. It also has the ability to hold ammonia nitrogen in its crystal structure where it is not water-soluble.
How to use Zeolite
Most of the odor from animals is caused by the generation of ammonia from urea and manure. Zeolite will capture ammonium and prevent the formation of ammonia. Zeolite will hold the ammonium by two methods. First it will hold up to 55% of its weight in water and ammonium in open pore spaces by absorption. It will holds the ammonium cation in the mineral lattice.  In absorption, the ammonium is held loosely and is water soluble, but in the crystal lattice, the ammonium is not water-soluble but is plant accessible.
Clean horse stall
Apply a half inch of Stall Cleaner to stall
Continue to apply horse stall on a routine basis to combat odor and moisture.
Periodically clean the stall.
Apply the material from the horse stall to the compost pile or directly as a 100% natural fertilizer
