Considered one of the "True Masters" of the Zuni crafts !!
Recognized for her painstaking selection of stones !!
Silversmith and jeweler for 5 decades and noted for special Cluster work with Turquoise and Coral.
Daughter of Doris and Warren Ondelacy and mother of Lorraine Waatsa.  Alice created a limited
number of gold, sterling silver and turquoise/coral items.  Alice won multiple awards from the
Major shows and competitions -- and was published in multiple books.  Her creations are in the
Peabody Museum, Heard Museum and Fabrizia Marcus.  Alice was versatile in her creations --
and some resembled Navajo designs.  Alice worked with her husband, Duane Quam, from 1945 for
nearly 60 years.  Alice was the Master of Cutting and Setting of the stones --- while Duane did
most of the silverwork.  The symmetry of her stones was highly regarded -- along with intricate needlepoint.
This set should be appreciated for the Deep Red Mediterranean Coral(now very rare and limited).

Squash Blossom Necklace -- total weight = 6.5 oz.  Sterling silver bead necklace -- 2 strands of 13 inches each.
Naja and 12 squash blossoms.  Naja ---- Length = 3.75 inches.  Width = 3 inches.  Each blossom = 1.5"X1"
Signed --- A.Q.  Naja contains 66 stones.  Each blossom contains 13 stones.(12X13 = 156 blossom stones).
Cluster Bracelet with side panels.  Inside circumference = 5.5 inches.  Wrist opening = 1 1/8 inches.
Center cluster --  Length = 2.5 inches.  Width = 2.25 inches. Panels = 1.75" X 1.0".  Signed.  Wt = 3.0 oz.
Each side panel contains 13 stones(26 total for 2 panels). Cluster contains 35 stones. Total(bracelet)=61.
Cluster Ring ----- Length = 1.75 inches.   Width = 1 1/8 inches. Contains 15 stones.
Signed.  Size = 8 1/2 --- sizeable.  Wt. = 0.5 oz.
Cluster style Earrings(2) -- total wt. = 1.0 oz.  Length = 3.25 inches.  Width = 7/8 inches.
