Before you purchase you need to know if you have a Stop Lamp Relay or not.
PLEASE READ!
The 1967 Cougar made before 1/3/1967 has a
stop lamp relay
that is located on the rubber pad in the trunk. So if you see three parts on the rubber pad then you
have a stop lamp relay and this is the correct part
. (
Sequencer Flasher,
Stop Lamp Relay, Directional Relay).
If your 1967 Cougar does not have the three parts then you do not have a stop lamp relay. You will need to purchase a C2) C7WY-13A366-BS.
The Emergency Relay is not one of the parts on the rubber pad. This Sequential Turn Signal Kit replaces it. Simply remove the old one and discard it. You will plug in one wire from our unit into the socket it came out of.
Sequencing systems are complicated so to make it easier Cougars Unlimited has combined all the parts found on the rubber pad and the Emergency Relay in the trunk of your car into one unit. Even though you can purchase the Sequencer or Directional relay or Stop Lamp relay or Emergency Relay individually it is Highly Recommended that you purchase this Combined Sequential Turn Signal Kit. 50% of all customers who buy one of the individual parts end up buying the others anyway. In the end it is cheaper buying this combined unit.
