    Description

These striking, slightly funky sterling silver, spiny oyster and black shell (?) pierced (French wire) earrings were hand-crafted by renowned Mexican artist, Consuelo Campos in 1994 and have been in our vault, never worn. They total drop of the earrings from the top of the wire to the bottom of the 5 fresh water pearl dangles/fringes on each earring is approximately 2". The total weight is 10.6 grams. The spiny oyster/black portion of the earring is approximately 3/4" x 3/4".  The earrings are different from one another which is her flagship design. One earring is a spiny oyster and a black shell with a shimmering pearl accent and the other is a deep orange spiny oyster, a striking combination.  We believe the black portion is a shell of some type because of the abalone looking accent but we do not know for certain.
