    CSS Hunley Civil War Submarine memorial first day cover postmarked at Liberty, MO. on June 15, 2020. Cover franked with a 3 cent UCV stamp on a 55 cent flag stamped gummed envelope # U-700 (FDOI).
    Cover with a DIY matte and 5x7 frame, makes a fine gift!
    This CSS Hunley cover image was printed on cachet #1554 by Alvin Eckert, #9964, USCS.
    The eight-man hand-crank propelled CSS Hunley, was successful in sinking the blockade ship USS Housatonic on Feb 17, 1864.
