Description
Custom Turned Stairway Spindles/Bannister BalustersOffered for sale is a custom-made stairway spindle or bannister baluster, up to 1 3/4" square and up to 36" in length.
You are welcome to request an item with different dimensions. The photos below show the finished product for a recent order. You will notice in the first photo, the original is shown, along with the matching custom-made pieces. The items are hand-turned, not done on a duplicator, which allows fine attention to detail. We prepare the blanks from poplar, and then have the turning done by a master woodworker with nearly forty years of experience at the lathe. As you can see from the photos, he does excellent work. If there is other custom turning you need, contact us and we will help you out if we can.
If you would like additional information, or have questions, please contact me.
Shipping is gladly combined on all orders up to 70 lbs. per package. Shipping weight on this item is 3 lbs. for each item ordered.
For each item ordered, you will receive one poplar spindle, turned to your specifications, up to 1 3/4" in thickness and up to 36" in length.
Please note:
Lumber is a natural product, and as such, there may be insects or other forms of life on or in it.
Smith Lumber is a small, family-owned business. The current owner is the fifth generation of the Smith family to operate the sawmill, performing complete lumbering operations from tree felling to final milling. Most trees are cut on small tracts of timber, with preservation of the forest community being a primary concern. Many local craftsmen and woodworkers count on Smith Lumber to provide specialty and hard-to-find pieces.
