Description
Magnesium Sulfate (Epsom Salt)9.5 lb. bag(s)
Magnesium sulfate (Epsom salt) is a highly available source of magnesium and sulfur. Typical analysis is 9.8% magnesium and 12.9% sulfur.
Practically all crops can benefit from a source of highly absorbable magnesium. A healthier plant means a plant with better yield, quality and disease resistance. Some suggest that magnesium uptake plays a part in blossom-end rot in tomatoes though we also know that calcium uptake is primary culprit.
There are no specific recommendations
for use of epsom salt in your garden. Ideally it should be "worked in" though it can also be side-dressed and "watered in" as it is very water soluble. It is relatively benign and there is little danger of damage from overuse.
This magnesium sulfate is packaged in 2-mil gusseted and twist-tied plastic bags of 9.5 lb. each. Quantities of 1 or 2 bags (9.5 and 18 lb.) are shipped in USPS Priority Flat Rate Medium Boxes, 3 bags (28.5 lb.) is shipped in USPS Priority Flat Rate Large box.
