This sale is for a 1933 Disney and United Artists Corp. Mickey Mouse Award of Merit Collectible Brass Belt Buckle . This piece is a brass collector's belt buckle given as a thank you gift to the workers of Walt Disney and United Artists Corp. It is from 1933, and was made to celebrate 5 years of the company being in business. The buckle shows Minnie Mouse stargazing through a telescope at the sky where Mickey appears. The oval in the front right corner reads, "Award of Merit Mickey Mouse 1933, Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Science." The border reads, "Mickey's Staff of 125 People in Hollywood Thank you From Walt Disney & United Artists Corp. One Million Mickey Mouse Club Members, Technicians - CAC Men - Artists - Musicians." It measures approximately 2 5/8" tall x 3 3/8" wide. It has some corrosion and heavy patina, exactly as shown in the pictures. See
