This product is not intended as a fertilizer substitute. It is non-burning when applied as directed.
The severity of soil acidity has a major influence on nutrient availability. An annual soil test is recommended to determine the balance of nutrients in the soil. If a soil test is not available, use the following recommendations.
Recommended Use:
Established Lawns
: Apply 8 to 20 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. at least twice annually for best results.
New Lawns
: Incorporate 40 to 50 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. prior to seeding or sodding at least twice annually for best results.
Corrective Application
: Apply 80 to 100 lbs. per 1/10 pH correction per acre (43,560 sq. ft.).
Flowers, Shrubs and Gardens
: Apply 20 to 40 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft., incorporating in the top 2" to 4" of soil.
Maintaining Optimum Growing Conditions
: Apply 4 to 6 lbs. for each 1 lb. of Nitrogen applied annually.
