    Description

I purchased this pen from a long-time collector.
It is one the rarest 134 pens you will come across. 1936-1938. Superb condition. All original.
It is known as a "first issue" and includes a number of unique items such as a very rare cap made from celluloid (not black hard rubber) with a side imprint (about one in fifty 134s had a celluloid cap and out of those one out of one hundred had a side imprint): only found on pre-war, first-issue 134s. No shrinkage of gold ring. No cracks, splits, or marks (to an untrained person this is a pen made in the last decade not one made over eight decades ago!).
Also, the 134G is a very rare imprint. 99.9% of 134s only had 134 (without "G"). The "G" stands for Glatt (gloss or smooth finish).
The 14C 225 Nib is also very rare and was a custom order only. Kugel tip is an ingenious design that allowed writers to write fast and comfortably in a manner that minimizes friction and drag.
There is more I can share about this fabulous pen and will do so with the buyer.
Please do not compare this pen with the "average" 134 available on-line. This is a true collector pen, very hard to find a similar example, and comes with superb provenance. I am offering it at my cost (after paying fees) because I'm not a dealer and have other interests I would like to pursue. As a point of interest, when this pen was being offered by the prior owner, it was offered on eBay through a no-reserve auction with a "make offer" option. Just prior to the auction close I offered a price that was only marginally over the high bid on the pen which the seller surprisingly accepted (I think partly because it was offered through a prior auction but the high bidder did not pay, which unfortunately happens frequently). So, the price I'm offering here really is an "eBay auction" price, and in any other venue this pen will sell for (I think) a much higher figure.
Serviced recently (prior to my purchase) with a new cork. Fully functional.
