This is somewhat common with these pens and likely occurred because of a slightly close tolerance between the black and white resins. The effect is stable and purely aesthetic, yet remains so subtle that it most likely never would have been observed. It is extremely tight and virtually seamless--it absolutely cannot be felt. I cannot emphasize how nearly invisible it is, and it is no wonder that it passed Montblanc's inspection. However, it is something that I inspect for and deserves to be mentioned now that it is found. Effect does not capture in photographs. Stock images shown; exact appearance of the pen you receive shall vary due to random inventory pull.
