this is a unique accessory for your archery needs but also serves as a finishing touch for your  hunter or other cosplay adventurer’s look.  They are cut from lighter weight leather, wetted, lined with suede look cloth then form dried to create full size bracers for medium sized adults:  the shield shaped cut  leather measures 7” long at the apex,  with 4.75” long sides, and is 8.75” across the top,  and  5.75” wide at wrist while eight antique brass medium grommets,  4 on each side back pieces support the black, plastic tipped corset cord that tie the bracers on in a criss cross pattern, totally adjustable for many sizes and to be worn on bare forearms or over sleeves,  Please measure your own arm and wrist to get a better idea of how these bracers will fit you before ordering.
The bracers are line carved at about ¼” around then carved with diagonal lines at 1” apart before they were dyed black (tho they do have a dark brown undertone).   This simple carving pattern forms background for the circle leather patch that shows off the Demon’s Trap  detail—the centerpiece of the bracers.    The artwork is inspired by the TV show Supernatural, but intentionally not copied:  the symbols carved and painted red on the attached black leather circlular patch, with ¼” red line carved border, most certainly  have meaning but they are not symbols on either the program or in lore.  I wanted a derivation of my own, so I researched and carved then painted red symbols to grace the carved and painted pentacle, including Pi, a Chinese symbol for ill fortune, an Arabic rune for banishment, the symbol for Earth(ala Stargate1), and a little baroque stamped “demon.”   The round  appliqué  artwork was then glued and stitched on with black waxed cord.  Because they are hand carved and painted, there are certain differences between the art on each of  the bracers that gives the entire project  a warmth that just can’t be created by machines.
The bracers are reinforced with glued suede cloth backing to protect the stitching and to make the bracer more comfortable when worn over bare arm. Larger (and smaller) sizes, other colors  are available as custom work and will take up to a week to produce and could cost more, depending on the overall size of the bracer, the number of grommets needed to complete, and other factors to be figured .  Please ask about customization.
