    USS ENTERPRISE CVN-65 Memorial naval first day cover with postmark
    from Libery, MO dated June 15, 2020. Color photo cachet #1356
    by Alvin Eckert USCS #9964. Cover franked with a 3 cent Naval Review stamp on a
    55 cent flag stamped gummed envelope # U-700 (FDOI).
    Cover with DIY matte and 5x7 frame, makes a fine gift!
    USS Enterprise: In 1969 an accidental fire started, when a Zuni rocket exploded
    under the wing of a F-4 aircraft on the forward flight deck. Casualties included
    28 dead, 343 wounded and 15 aircraft destroyed on January 14, 1969.
    This vessel served off Vietnam five times between 1965 and 1972, twice in 1972-73,
