Victorian Edwardian Black 2 Piece Historical Reproduction Mourning Dress

Description

An exquisitely made 2 piece black morning dress.  The material is a satin/gosgrain like material.  Trim: a rope like trim on collar and along button hole line.  Neckline: victorian stand up collar.  Sleeves: full length, slight puff at shoulder, gimp trim and buttons along wrist. The back of the bodice has a slight rounded tail. Stitching: machine and hand sewn buttons.  Closure type: plastic buttons.  Number of stays: 10.  Black satin lining.
Bodice Measurements:
Shoulders: seam to seam laying flat 16".  Sleeves: Shoulder seam to cuff 23".  Bodice waist: side to side laying flat 18".  Front bodice length: front opening along button line to bottom of hem 21 1/4".  Back bodice length: from top of fabric to bottom of hem 24".
Skirt Details:
A draped bustle back skirt with train.  There are ties and netting on the inside of the skirt.  See photos #9 and #10.  The material is a satin/gosgrain like material.  Trim: a gimp trim at waist. (See photo #6).  On the under side of the hem at the bottom is a black floral lace.  Definitely a higher end detail.  (See photo #7) Stitching: machine.  Closure type: hook and eye.  No lining.
Skirt Measurements:
Waist: side to side laying flat 16 1/4".  Front length: top of waist to bottom of hem 40".  Back length:  adjustable with interior ties.
