Vintage handmade Renaissance Fair costume dress. Perfect for re-enactment or Halloween costume. Probably made in Texas in the 90s. Seems to fit like a modern S/M. See measurements below. Working talon zipper. Fabric is like a gros grain ribbon with texture and sheen. The upper bodice of the dress is lined with a nice satin feeling material. The skirt is not lined. Floral lace trim on sleeves and bottom of skirt. Good lookin’.
The dress would not stay on my mannequin because it has no arms ... it just slips down due to the heavy weighted fabric. I am showing it clipped on so you can get an idea of how it wears. I believe it’s intended as an off the shoulder.
Pre owned, shows general wear. Overall nice condition. Does have faint age discoloration in areas - mainly near the bottom of the skirt. I saw one hole in the lace trim on the back of the skirt - maybe was poked by a shoe heel. I also saw a pinhole near the bottom of the skirt. Has not been recently cleaned but I did heat steam it.
